Not On the horizon But with In our grasp That Which was coming Has arrived It’s here Mournful Terror Human error I never thought I would be here Witnessing The end of it all I always thought That I’d be long dead When it all came to an end But here I am With everyone else This sinking ship That no longer floats My wife and kids My dad and my mom All lived enough To see the world fall We did this all All to ourselves Said it was fiction A fairy tale Bought our own lies And ate our own shit We didn’t listen Now it’s too late to quit Now it’s over It can’t be undone No place to hide No place to run The walls have fallen The stars no longer shine The coming end The end of mankind It’s the end The end of time We don’t learn Watch it burn Born too late to save the world Born too soon to miss the doom Arrived in time to be too late But born in time to watch the end Life on earth A memory It’s dead It’s dead

about

Since his humble beginnings, mankind has created art; to express feelings, to appease invisible gods or just for simple aesthetic expression. If humanity were to know the day, the hour and the very moment their world would end and if they were to know for certain that there was no way to avoid this catastrophe; if they knew that this would surely, truly be the end, what then would be the effect on art in the time that was left. Would it be filled with rage and agony? Would it be a long mournful drone? Or would we create at all? What would be the state of the human condition and how would we express it?
